The Villagers suffered their first loss of the season, falling to the Barack Obocces by a score of 16-10. The Obocces, outfitted in their kiwi-colored uniforms, took the lead in the very first frame and never looked back. The Villagers made it interesting in the middle frames, however, mounting a rally by scoring 5 points over three consecutive rounds. But it was too little too late. The Obocces cruised to their first win of the season.

The game was spirited and our hearts were lifted when Anita Wallgren scored the Villagers’ first point. The Obocces were just a little more relaxed than the Villagers and probably under less pressure to keep a winning streak alive, which may be a formula for our team to win its next games. Everyone – both the Villagers and the Barack Obocces – enjoyed the summer evening and will be back next Tuesday for Week 5 of the season. One of the Barack Obocces even commented that she found it a pleasure to play against the Villagers – not because they beat us, but because we were fun and out to have a good time.  On to week number five.
