LOOK WHO’S TURNING 60! THE OFFICE OF SENIOR ADULT PROGRAMS CELEBRATES 60 YEARS OF SERVICE.
On October 4, 1954, Arlington’s Recreation Department put an ad in the paper inviting interested persons over 60 to form a “Senior Citizen” group. Forty-two people showed up and the first “Silver Age Club” was formed. Sixty years later, the Office of Senior Adult Programs operates six 55+ Centers and membership has grown from 42 to over 5000.
Please join us for The Office of Senior Adult Program’s Diamond Jubilee celebration. There will be dancing, food, friendships, memories, and fun! Entertainment will be provided by the Bob Gibson Band and DJ Krazy Kat.
