Thank You To Everyone Who Supported
ANV’s Financial Aid Campaign.
Your Extremely Generous Contributions Have
Made It A Tremendous Success.
Seniors have been hit hard by the impacts of COVID-19, and we know the effects of the pandemic will be long-lasting. ANV’s goal is to raise $20,000 in individual donations for our 2021 Financial Aid Fund so we can continue to help our most in-need seniors get through this crisis safely.
Since March, ANV and its dedicated volunteers have supported an additional 60 seniors referred to us by the County, the Arlington Food Assistance Center, and the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing.
Every dollar you give will directly enable ANV volunteers to support lower-income seniors by delivering food, medicine, and companionship in 2021.
- A gift of $400—covers ANV yearly membership for one senior
- A gift of $200—covers a 6 month membership for one senior
- A gift of $100—covers ANV expenses to do background checks on 5 volunteers
- A gift of $20—covers a portion of our costs to connect with seniors and reduce isolation
Your support helps at-risk Arlington seniors like V. Here’s her story:
“My support network vanished in March – some left for family elsewhere, others overloaded with family. My former students were out of the community or on Zoom meeting helping others. I became tearful, anxious through this time. A sense of abandonment hovered close by. I called ANV for help.”
Our senior neighbors need our help—they’re isolated, on extremely limited incomes, and don’t have family or friends to help. ANV volunteers are their lifeline – bringing groceries from AFAC, delivering prescriptions, providing rides to critical medical appointments…simply being a friend.
Vulnerable seniors are counting on ANV, and ANV is counting on you.
The pandemic is showing us the power of community. We belong to each other. Together, through the power of neighbors helping neighbors, our community will get through this crisis.
With your support, ANV will help more at-risk seniors get the food, necessities, and companionship they need to weather the pandemic. Thank you!
