Join us for a docent-led tour of the D.C’s newest cultural landmark, The Reach at the Kennedy Center. We will get a behind the scenes look at the new venues and practice facilities and also view “Portraits of Courage, A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors,” the collection of oil painting portraits by President George W. Bush on limited tour from the George W. Bush Presidential Center. These paintings are President Bush’s Tribute to America’s Warriors which brings together 66 vibrant oil portraits with stories and a 4-panel mural in honor of the United States military who have served our nation since 9/11.
The portrait exhibit is wheelchair accessible; however, The Reach requires quite a bit of walking. The Kennedy Center is accessible by Metro via Foggy Bottom Metro Stop, (Orange. Blue and Silver lines.) There is a Kennedy Center shuttle that runs every 15 minutes all day long, beginning at 9:45 am. Parking is available at the Kennedy Center for $20 when you pre-purchase parking online (a $3 savings).
The tour is limited to 15 persons. Please RSVP by Monday, November 4 to make sure you have spot. You may RSVP by replying to this email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the office at 703-509-8057.
