Arlington Villagers are invited to take part in a seasonal walk around Theodore Roosevelt Island on the first day of summer, June 21.
The walk will begin at 10 am, last about one hour, and wind up at the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial on the island.
There will be two meeting times and places: At 9:40 am in front of
the Rosslyn metro station and 10 am in the Roosevelt Island parking lot.
(Drivers who intend to use the parking lot need to be aware that cars can enter it only from the George Washington Parkway’s northbound lanes, not from the southbound lanes.)
The walking is easy and the trail is level–it includes a boardwalk over a marsh. Feel free to invite friends and family. This event is a joint activity of Arlington Neighborhood Villages and Hyde Park Condominium. It will proceed rain or shine–there’s no rain date.
