The Opera Buffs will host a discussion of Giacomo Puccini’s opera Turandot with special guests, James and Mary Shaffran. James is a member of the Washington National Opera chorus and will share his insights on the opera and experience as a member of the opera chorus for over twenty years. If you would like to have a cocktail and learn a little about the opera, please join us. The Metropolitan Opera showing will be held at the Tyson’s Corner, Hoffmann and Mazza Gallery theaters on Saturday, January 30 at 12:50 pm. An encore showing will be held on Wednesday, February 3 at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $24 for seniors.
