This new state-of-the-art facility was opened in April 2013 to house NPR’s newsrooms and studios. The tour includes an up-close look inside a broadcast studio and NPR newsroom where journalists and staff work. We will get a glimpse of daily life in the busy world of news media and learn about the history and mission of NPR. Following the tour, visit the NPR Commons, the official gift shop for NPR merchandise. This one-hour walking tour is free and is accessible to visitors with disabilities.
Because the maximum tour size is 20 persons and requires advance registration, you must RSVP no later than Thursday, February 2 by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by calling the office at 703-509-8057. Be sure to include the name of the event and number in your party. We will get back to you to confirm your participation.
Public parking is available on L Street across from NPR or at metered spaces in the neighborhood. The NPR building is also walkable from the NoMa-Gallaudet U Metro Station on the Red Line. ANV will arrange carpooling for those who need a ride. When RSVP’ing, please indicate if a ride is needed or you are willing to drive.
