Being in the hospital can be overwhelming and frightening. Doctors and nurses waking you at all hours to check your vitals, tests that you weren’t expecting, followed by long periods of no interaction with hospital staff that leaves you wondering if anyone is taking care of you. Representatives from Virginia Hospital Center will help you understand what to expect when you go into the hospital. They will focus on what to bring with you; the roles of the aids, nurses and hospitalists who will be overseeing your care; and how to advocate for yourself while in the hospital and when you are recovering at home.

Arlington Neighborhood Village is now hosting our Wednesday Coffee and Conversation online, using Zoom, and you are invited to join us.
