On Saturday, January 10, Ballston/Virginia Square Village, with assistance from Melinda Carlson, hosted ANV’s second Dine Around for adventurous eaters. This month, we traveled to Yayla Bistro to taste small plates from Turkey. Fifteen members and volunteers dined on delicious Mediterranean dishes such as grape leaves (dolma), falafel, and of course, shish kebobs. Several diners raved about the Apricot Delights that they had for dessert. Those who braved the chilly temps were treated to lively conversation and camaraderie. Plans were made for our next adventure which will be in February when we’ll celebrate Chinese New Year’s–details to follow.
