“Starting A Local Village” Workshops

Arlington Neighborhood Villages (ANV) will be conducting a series of workshops about how to start a local village in your area. We are ready to work with you right from the start so that no one has to reinvent the wheel…or the village!

Arlington Neighborhood Villages’ (ANV) long-term vision is to create a network of local villages throughout Arlington County. Volunteers from each village will then serve members in their community while taking advantage of the infrastructure provided by the central management office. Part of the beauty of the “hub & spoke” model adopted by Arlington Neighborhood Villages is that no individual neighborhood has to go it alone in starting a local village.

If you are interested in learning how to organize a local village and what we can do to help you, please register to attend an ANV “Starting a Local Village” workshop. ANV volunteers will explain the ANV model and share their experience in forming a local village. Participants will receive the ANV Starting a Local Village Guidelines package and access to ANV marketing.

The first workshop will be held on January 29, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Westover Library.
