Carmen Pastor, Fuerza Contra Alzheimer’s will discuss her journey to becoming the President of this national organization which is bringing awareness on alzheimer’s disease to the hispanic community.

ANV Tai Chi — A gentle way to exercise and reduce stress

IMG_2624Whether you already practice Tai Chi or are curious to learn just what it is all about, drop in on ANV’s Tai Chi sessions. This is an informal practice group. Instruction is not provided.

Originally developed for self-defense, Tai Chi is now used for stress reduction, improved balance, and other health benefits. In colder weather, we meet in the Fellowship Hall at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 915 N. Oakland Street, Arlington, VA, in Virginia Square. Email awallgren@gmail.com for more details.

Spanish Conversation Group: Cafe Espanol

Spring Equinox Walk

Join us for a leisurely stroll around Roosevelt Island to welcome Spring. For those who want to walk to Roosevelt Island, we will meet at 9:40 am at the Rosslyn Metro stop – the group will then walk to Roosevelt Island. You may also meet us in the parking lot for Roosevelt Island adjacent to GW Parkway at 10 am. Drivers should be aware that the only access to the Roosevelt Island parking lot is from the northbound lanes of GW Parkway.
